ABOUT THE OWNERS
We love the outdoors and spending time at our own cabin with our son Jack, and dog Molson, so much we wanted to be able to share this experience with people near and far.
We believe Gambo has so much to offer, and we invite you to come and see for yourself. We live just across the street and are always available, whether it be directions to a prime local fishing hole, or being able to show you one of our popular walking or atv/snowmobile trails.

THE LOCATION
Located on the main road in the heart of Gambo, approximately 5kms from the Trans Canada Highway.
Black Duck Cottages also sits a mere 500 meters from the Newfoundland T’railway and on the grassy shores of Freshwater Bay.

Black Duck Cottages
A wonderful cottage with beautiful views and centrally located in town. It was spotless with quality furniture and bed and the location is very quiet and peaceful. There was careful attention to detail which was appreciated. Down to the selection of lighting and bulbs which was beautiful in the long winter evenings. I highly recommend these cottages.
We had a large group of 12 people with three cabins. Was really nice we could all be together and it was like our little private area. Beautiful view of the water and playground for the kids. We got to go to Lumsden Beach, splash and putt and even enjoy Gambo splash pad with the hiking trail in town. If we come up this way again, we will be looking to rebook with you guys. Clean cabins, and they have everything we needed. Sarah even checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything. 5 stars!
Our Policies
Cancellations within 7 days of your stay are non-refundable.
If you must cancel your reservation please do so by calling us more than 7 days prior to your stay.
Black Duck Cottages is not responsible for changes to your reservation due to weather, unforeseen changes to travel plans, personal sickness or injury, or family emergencies.
Rates and policies are subject to change and may vary depending on season. Balances due will automatically be charged 7 days prior to arrival.
Rates are based on 4 adults, children are free. Some units have a sofabed which may be available but additional charges will apply.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
If your plans change after your reservation is confirmed, please contact us at least 7 days prior to your arrival. We are happy to change your dates for no fee. If you cancel , we will refund your deposit with a 7-day notice. Cancellations within 7 days of your stay are non-refundable.
Balance due will automatically be charged 7 days prior to arrival to the credit card on file.
Check In is 3:00 p.m., however you are welcome to check in anytime after 3:00 p.m. as it is a contactless check in.
Check Out time is 11:00 a.m. Most days in the summer, we have guests expecting to check in by 3:00 pm, which makes is hard for us to allow for later check-outs.
If you would like to request an early check in please let us know ahead of time. We cannot guarantee that your cottage we will be available but we will do our best to try and accommodate you.
